Lewy Body Dementia is the second most commonly diagnosed dementia-related disease (after Alzheimer’s), but very few caregivers know much about it. This session will define what LBD is and review the two sub-types (Parkinson’s and Dementia with Lewy Bodies). It will outline the brain changes of the disease, including how those changes impact behavior, communication, and body movement. Also covered will be best practices for supporting individuals living with Lewy Body Dementia.

The seminar will be held from 8:00am to 10:00am on Tuesday, June 28th at the Hampton Inn & Suites (876 Schechter Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). Cost is $30.
