In one day learn how to improve your leadership skills and prevent caregiver burnout and fatigue at Open Door Training & Development’s Long-Term Care Leadership Training Day, November 5th!
The morning session, “Employee Coaching & Discipline,” runs from 9am to 12pm and reviews the skills needed to become an effective leader, including different communication styles, ways to gain (and lose!) credibility with a team, and real-life examples of situations that occur in long-term care every day.
The afternoon session, “Compassion Fatigue & Stress Management,” runs from 1pm to 4pm and allows attendees to assess their own levels of fatigue and burnout, and determine what their individual signs of stress overload look like. The class introduces ways to counteract the negative effects of being a long-term care professional, including use of deep-breathing and mindfulness exercises, time management techniques, and humor.
The trainings are being held at the Hampton Inn – State College at Williamsburg Square (1995 Waddle Road, State College, PA). NAB/NCERS approved for 3.0 CEUS for each session, 6.0 CEUs total (for NHAs, ALAs, and PCHAs).
