Description
In one day learn how to support individuals living with memory impairment when they struggle to communicate their needs and have unusual or challenging behaviors, as well as what you need to know to hire employees who will stay!
The morning session, “Understanding Challenging Behaviors in Dementia Care,” is held from 9am to 12pm and focuses on ways to handle repetitiveness, aggression, wanting to leave, and paranoia/delusions.
The afternoon session, “Keys to Hiring Long-Term Employees in Long-Term Care,” is from 1pm to 4pm and reviews why the areas where your organization and the applicant must be “on the same page” if the individual is to become a long-term member of your team.
Sessions are pending approval by NAB/NCERS for 3.0 CEUs each for NHAs, ALAs, and PCHAs (total of 6 CEUs!!)
