This popular session reviews the difference between “compassion fatigue” and “burnout” and allows attendees to assess their own levels of both, and determine what their individual signs of stress overload look like.  The class introduces ways to counteract the negative effects of being a long-term care professional, including use of deep-breathing and mindfulness exercises, time management techniques, and humor.

This session is being held at the Hampton Inn – State College at Williamsburg Square (1995 Waddle Road, State College, PA) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. This session is approved for 3.0 CEUs by NAB/NCERS for NHAs, ALAs, and PCHAs.
